We live in a society where children are exposed to and encouraged to imitate the violent, abusive and sexual behaviour of adults. There is a huge rush for children to grow up, with each new generation being forced to grow up and lose their innocence quicker than the last. At the same time, adults turn to drugs and alcohol to let go of their inhibitions and problems, and to regain a childlike sense of innocence and fun, often leading to a reliance on these substances.
This series of drawings explores this ironic link between childhood and adulthood through satirical, violent yet playful, absurd and perhaps disturbing imagery.
