Alabaster the Cat and Butterfly

All my Strange Garden Series begin as graphite or coloured pencil drawings that are scanned and then transferred to transparency film. The transparencies are then painted (much like painting on perspex or stained glass windows) with acrylic paints. The painted films are then laser printed onto 200gsm card or are directly glued to a background of my own.
The hedge backgrounds are created in the same process – drawing, transparency, painting etc.
