Eleonora di Toledo

I like mixing traditional painting techniques with modern ones. Classical representations with abstract elements, like stains. A Renaissance feel with a contemporary twist. Bronzino’s original portrait is royalty-free, so no copyright was infringed in my work.
I also combine photographic images with paintings and mixted-media artworks using Digital Laboratory techniques to achieve the final result.

I find it a very interesting creation: it triggers my fantasy and even my emotions. Fantasy and emotions that are originally present in the image, and make me feel like knowing more about the part of the painting “yet to appear”. Fine painting with rough abstraction, producing a contrast that enhances both styles.
