Hope and Peace

My childhood experience growing up in war and poverty, and my later world travels are the sources of inspiration for my art. Through my art I raise awareness of the less fortunate as well as probe the contrast between hope and despair, wealth and poverty, and sadness and joy.  In my recent work I have referred to Abstract expressionism to create backgrounds that convey strong emotional or expressive content and support the recognizable images and subject matter in the foreground.
