In the past year, I have come to terms with a newfound gender identity: genderqueer. I identify not as male or female, but something separate, something other. This project, “both and neither.”, has been a process of discovery of the interior through the exterior. In exiting New York and reverting to nature I have found an intensely meditative healing process by which this part of myself has developed. Finding myself in nature and among its simultaneously masculine and feminine qualities, my identity has been projected onto the landscape as a natural and freeing exploration.
I am both, I am neither, I am nature.
