Kaleido
A couple of years ago the half-remembered wonder of a kaleidoscope came back to me and I went in search of one to recapture the light, reflection, color and movement that you experience playing with one as a child. It proved harder to find than I expected!! When I finally got my hands on one, I thought it would be interesting to see if a simple digital camera could be of any use in capturing some of that inner world, and the results turned out pretty interesting.
In this series, the order of the photographs takes you from the outside; with just a glimpse of the colors and shapes within, to just beginning to enter, and finally being enveloped by the magical visuals. Just like being a kid; just like wondering why everything couldn’t be this beautiful.

Nice work. I was just thinking about kaleidoscopes the other day. They are wonderful toys for children of all ages. Lesson: change is constant, from tiny bits of colored glass rotating in a mirrored world, to the collapse of great empires. I love this work. 5 stars.
