Want some?
Reinis Liepa is controversial Eastern European artist by being so harsh and soft at the same time, by pairing sex with power and innocence with dreams. His paintings are either very dynamic, very “to your face”, or either very light, very calm. No matter which of the paths he chooses, Mr.Liepas works are always involving and ot peg.
In his paintings, artists sets our attention away from every day stresses and problems through milky colors and shades that he uses. We obsorve and at the mean time we dream. We look through lense to or life as it is and as we want it to be as well. We drift away from everything. There is only us and art.
Through his art work he talks a lot about simple beauty of our life, of persue of happiness, of our dreams and hopes, not moving too far from the reality.
