Precious
I made this orb as proof to my ex-boyfriend that my art could be logical, geometric, and still beautiful–forme and function are not necessarily opposing elements. However, he and I had a very nasty break before I could give him his present, and I tossed it out in the trash as to not have the reminder. Fortunately, my Mom saved it, and a year later, I’m photographing it to remind myself that what I do is precious, even if not always appreciated.
Swarovski crystal, 11o delicas, and Nymo; 1 1/2″ round; 20+ hours.
