   Your second work – surreal and languid – that really struck me and induced me to give you five stars. There’a a lack of cohesiveness in the works presented. I really wish you’d written a little something about yourself, or about the pieces that you submitted, but I recognize the need to let the work stand alone on its own merits. Good job. Russell

   Thank you for the kind words Russell. The uniting theme with the painting I tried to sum up in the title “Self Portrait of a Soul”. If a person’s enduring self was asked “what do you look like to you?” , what would it depict? Does it see itself as the human body which contains it?, as a surrealistic amalgam of the experiences and traits which define it?, or; as a concept or idea which is in constant flux? There are so many ways to explain who a person is. This series displays three unique perspectives of the term “self”.
