Recycled Innertube Armour

As an artist, seamstress, and sculptor, I enjoy the challenge of using recycled and alternative materials. I have been working specifically with used inner tubes from motorcycles, bicycles and tractors, for many years.
This recent series is inspired by my research of body armour, which has been used throughout recorded history.

This work is part of a larger body of work being created as costuming for a film.
