Egg Frying Log

On the 28. of May 2011 at ACTS. A festival for performative Arts in Roskilde at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde (DK). I fryed eggs for visitors and participants at ACTS. I did the cooking on a cooking-sculptur named Fried Egg on Lumber ; A frying-pan that is suspended over a piece of lumber.
The lumber burns and heats up the frying pan. Went the lumber is burned away and no longer can heat up the pan. Its over. The lumber couldn’t heat the frying pan any more. I stop.
At the festival I made 112 fryed egg for the people that day.
The End.

I’m sure that the people who were hungry really enjoyed your eggs. Thank you for taking a risk! It is so difficult in contemporary art to create something that is unique, fresh and new. I like the idea that your art piece was utilitarian, evolving, and that once its “purpose” was served, it still exists in the plane of “art.” Also, it was playful and for these reasons, I gave you five stars.
