Self

The “Self” series is my attempt to explore myself through my art. As one who is fond of writing memoir, I am well aware of where I came from and the events that make up who I am. “Self I: History” is the visual representation of those things. It states the things that can be said, that, when someone asks me who I am, I can answer.  “Self II: Process” is the manifestation of the unspoken things. How my mind works beneath the surface. It is the how and the why to “History’s” when, what, and where. Finally, “Self III: Objective” is the everything that I am that I have yet to know. It is the process behind the process, the thought behind the thought. It is the future I have not met and the past I can not remember.
