“As a self-taught artist, I realize and appreciate the fact that each day, each moment is another opportunity for me to learn something new and develop new and improved set of skills.
I have always been creative, even when I was a small child I can remember appreciating the special aspects of life. Throughout my life I have experimented in a range of creative designs. I have enjoyed many of these experiences and even more than that, I found my true creative passion.
My specialty is in designing original, handmade home décor with silk and natural materials. Many of my designs originated in nature’s nursery. When I find something new or unique, passions imagination takes over.
Some may call me a “florist” and many have branded me as “The Flower Lady”, but to me and those who appreciate my creativity, I am an individual whose hunger for creative passions is fed by my artwork.”

Domestic Carnival is an ongoing project that alters entire household rooms and re-presents them as flashing amusement park rides. Ultimately this project will transform an entire family home into a traveling carnival: one room at a time. To begin, I have fabricated a sculpture that merges the psychology of a county fair with the intimate nature of the dining room. Pulsing lights, steel joists, and a generator were combined with a dining room table, chairs, hardwood flooring, and objects from the room. The apparatus is engineered like a carnival ride; the sculpture is mounted on a custom trailer that collapses for transportation to its next destination.

As an artist, seamstress, and sculptor, I enjoy the challenge of using recycled and alternative materials. I have been working specifically with used inner tubes from motorcycles, bicycles and tractors, for many years.
This recent series is inspired by my research of body armour, which has been used throughout recorded history.

This work is part of a larger body of work being created as costuming for a film.
