These acrylic paintings are from the series I am currently working on: Heaven / The Heavens
Growing up, my role models were the saints and mystics of Catholic lore. I would look up to the sky and imagine Heaven among the stars, trying to imagine what floating in space for eternity would be like. Later,viewing deep-space photography renewed this childhood awe of the worlds beyond the clouds. This series unites my wonder of both Heaven and The Heavens.
