16-Bit Magma Dragon

With Moore’s law of doubling computer power having been nowhere more readily apparent than in the playthings of my generation, I find that using heavy pixilation in my artwork brings both a sense of nostalgia for the 16-bit games that my friends and I played when we were young, as well as a sense of wistful regret for those not played. The heavy handedness of large pixels has a style and beauty, bringing the promise of a bright future that has not quite finished downloading off the screeching dialup internet connection of the 1990s.
