This serie of pictures are spontaneous fragments of street life, it explores the socioeconomic realities of Honduras in Central America: a drunken man dreaming on the sidewalk, a hopeful woman wishing for the reconstruction of her home, a homeless child wandering in search of light.
They are the result of a full immersion into a community where I have been involved for many years. I was working for different NGOs, taking pictures of people’s homes with no electricity or running water, to obtain funding from government organizations to rebuild them.
Although we tend to think that these realities belong to far-away banana republics, they are actually a reflection of what can be seen in the streets throughout the world.
These photos have minimal or almost no modifications.
