The designs that grab me are elegant but not obvious. In these three, you can see the influence of my chemistry teacher mother, my captivation with the smoothness of shape, my penchant for mixing warm and cool metals, and my whims toward far off places. I look for a mirage of simplicity in my work and will always be seduced by the raw force and flame that go into making something that seems to effortless. The way that metal can shine, twist, curve, split and rejoin is so ironic in its fluidity. This enchants me.
