Through the creation of a high contrast, minimalistic image, I have created an piece that is ambiguous. I see one of the important roles of an artist as being to encourage people to look at their world differently, and to question what they see. Down that path lies new stories and adventure, as the ordinary is rendered extraordinary, and beauty and wisdom found in the simplest, and the most profound, things.
