Reese is a contemporary surrealist figurative artist who began exhibiting her works in 2010. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Reese had always been an art enthusiast, but in recent years, she had discovered her artistic talents after moving to Los Angeles. She than began her journey toward becoming a professional oil painter through fine arts training at the Academy of Art University. Her intuitive passion for expressing mood and emotion on canvas and paper along with her mastery of technique in oil and graphite was soon recognized and she made her debut into the art world by contributing to numerous group exhibitions at local establishments and galleries in Southern California. Her stylized, elongated subjects reflect her fascination of occult fetishes, mythological legends, macabre carnival idealizations, and Victorian couture. Her oil paintings are a combination of classical realistic rendering with a personal element of distortion and moody atmosphere. While her
seductive paintings mature in style and intensity, they retain her signature ethereal quality that embodies an undeniable force to be reckoned with.
