This series, developed not only with paint, but also various materials such as cloth, lace and patterns sewn directly on life sized photo prints – stems from the various ways I have seen Iranian women like myself use small acts, day in and day out, to express themselves despite the veils forced upon them – small, discreet acts of expression (and resistance) that manifest themselves with color and gusto.
